Inspection Cameras & Locators

Inspection cameras and locators are tools used in construction, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC industries for inspecting and locating problems in hard-to-reach areas, such as inside pipes, ducts, and walls. These tools consist of a camera that is attached to a long flexible cable, which is used to explore the inside of these areas. The camera transmits images and video to a display screen, allowing the user to see the inside of the area being inspected.

Inspection cameras come in various sizes and designs, depending on the application. Some are small and handheld, while others are mounted on a cart or stand. They can have a range of features, such as adjustable lighting, zoom capabilities, and the ability to record and save footage.

Locators are used in conjunction with inspection cameras to accurately locate the position of pipes, cables, and other buried utilities. These tools use electromagnetic signals to detect the location of metallic objects, such as pipes and cables, or acoustic signals to detect the location of non-metallic objects, such as PVC pipes.

The use of inspection cameras and locators can help to identify and diagnose problems quickly and accurately, reducing the need for invasive and costly exploratory work. These tools can also improve safety by allowing workers to inspect and diagnose problems from a safe distance.

When choosing an inspection camera or locator, it's important to consider factors such as the size and shape of the area being inspected, the type of problem being investigated, and the features needed to perform the job effectively. High-quality inspection cameras and locators are typically durable and rugged, with features that make them easy to use and provide accurate results.
